We had a power surge last night and my myob was open. When I went to print invoices today, my customised forms are not there.
Superannuation and terminating employees?
We are a seasonal business and this is the first year I have used the Account Edge Super Portal
for paying employees working for us through the Ski Season.
Usually I would go to the different superannuation sites and notify them that I have terminated the employee and then they would stop sending me notifications saying super payments are due.
If I go into each employee card and put a termination date in the appropriate field will that then translate across to the funds?
Or will I still have to manually notify them?

The message 'invalid conformation code' appears when attempting to confirm using Account Edge v 15.5 and Windows 8.
Stock Alert - Sort Order of Item Numbers
I am using the To Do List - Stock Alert - Order/Build
The To Do List displays the item name in alphabetical order, but doesn't show the item number, which is a big disadvantage to start with. After clicking on Oder / Build, the actual purchase order opens, listing all products with the description being in alphabetical order. It used to be the column Item Number, being sorted in alphabetical order. This is a total nightmare for us to work with, considering how many products we are dealing with. This hasn't always been this way and I have finally made a call to the support line. Sorry to say this, just another waste of time as staff wasn't able to give me an answer as to when and why this has been changed. So here is my question again, why does the purchase order no longer come up iwth the item numbers being in alphabetical order? Is this likely to be changed again?

Time Machine Back-up not working
I am using time machine on different Macs since many years and it works perfectly fine with all my other applications and used to do so for my Account Edge Network Version data file, but unfortunatley no longer. I have contacted your support line on a couple of occasions, but the usual answer was that it is an issue with Time Machine. Why is then possible, that every other application backs up on an hourly cycle and the only applicaiton no longer backing up is MYOB. It has been suggested that MYOB doesn't back-up to Time Machine anymore when the application is running. But it's clearly not stopping there. My time machine settings are to back up my Mac every hour, 24 hours a day. MYOB is not being used and not running during night hours, but I can't rely on there being a back-up in the morning. Same situation than with my previous query (to do list / purchase order), this has worked perfectly fine until a while back. I can't say for sure when it stopped working, but would say going back to July.

Connect to AccountEdge from External IP
Hello,
I would like to be able to connect to AccountEdge from an external IP address. I've gone through the documentation and there does not seem to be any info anywhere. So my questions are:
- Has anyone been able to successfully connect.
- Are there any special requirements other than mapping the external IP to the Internal IP where AE NE is the server.
I understand that there will be some limitations in term of performance but since access externally will simply be more for reporting & monitoring needs, no data entry.

AccountEdge 15.5 NE on MacOS Sierra, with BASlink. MYOB crashes Termination Code 1217 - Error -3000 in DMLTERecord (5049:7000:69).
When running "Prepare Statement" of BASlink, MYOB crashes under MacOS Sierra (Server) and under MacOS Yosemite from a terminal (data is on the Sierra machine)

My auditor uses Windows. Is there a way of coverting my Mac data to suit his system? I am the treasurer of a Rotary Club (not-for-profit) which basically collects money for our various charitable projects and spends. we have a Transaction bank account and a Charitable bank account - so it's pretty simple stuff.
MYOB M Powered invoices
Hi. I've recently migrated from Account Edge Version 11.5 to Essentials.
Part of this is chagnging from M powered invoices to Pay direct on line.
I spent 30 minutes waiting on the phone support this week to ask a representative to send me a form to cancel my subscription to M powered invoices. I was assured the form would arrive in me email.
Sadly this form has never arrived.
How do I go about shutting down my M Powered invoices subscription?
Beginning Balance on a Report
Hi all
I want to generate a report for a specific reimbursement account (it is not a bank account, just an internal account - like a contra) but my problem is this:
As at 1 July 2016 it had a small opening balance. I'm about to rectify that with some transactions I am processing today but I want a report to show that everything is now zero'd out.
I want a report that shows me the beginning balance of the account (just as it appears in the 'Find Transactions') Window.
The Account Transactions Report doesn't appear to give me an option.
The only option I can think of is using Snip and printing.
Surely there is a better way.

Unable to confirm company file
I have been using AccountEdge Pro v15 since Jul 2016 and it has asked me to confirm my company file for the 1st time but I was unable to confirm it online as well as via phone. Please help.

MYOB Account Edge v9.5 installation
Hi
I have my Account Edge v9.5 disc here , I have been using the program beautifully for a few years now. I have bought a new Apple Laptop which I want to install the software on as the old computer is about to crash and burn. I have back ups etc.
My problem is that every time I attempt to use the installer on the disc to put the program on to my new laptop it gives me a message at the end of the installation saying "Installation Failed. The Installer could not install the software because there was no software to be found" then I have no option but to close the Installer window.
Hoping someone could please assist, also my email address has changed form my original login 3/4 years ago.

Setting up specific bonus
Hi. I'm not sure if this is possible with Accountedge (I've tried setting up in the software & researching online) so any advice would be greatly appreciated. What I'm trying to do: Set up a simple bonus program that I can pay at the end of the calander year. I'm somewhat flexible with how it could be set up but generally speaking, I would like it to be a specific capped amount. The bonus program is really an incentive program for quality of work performed. In theory, the employee will earn $ (not hours) per pay period (accrural) however accountedge only lets me select hours or another wage catagory. When setting up a new wage catagory to link (from accrurals), my options are salary or hourly and I'm not sure either of those apply to this situation. Plus, I can only make links from accrurals to wage catagories IF the wage catagory is hourly. I would also like to create an incentive program for attendance as well. Whew! I'm in for a lot of work!
Auto enter current date when changing an order into an invoice?
When converting an order into an invoice, we often forget to change the date of the order to the date of invoice.
Is there some way MYOB can do this automatically?

Using same MYOB file on MAC and windows computers
I currently access MYOB via Account Right on a windows computer at home and at work. Work is moving to MAC's next week. Can I continue to access the same company file on a MAC at work and a windows computer at home? Or do I have to upgrade my home computer to a MAC too?
Account Edge NE V15.5 input screen freezing
When I am trying to inout data through cash, general journal etc, the screen freezes half way through doing input. I had not done an year end of the data since 1999. To eliminate the possbility of not doing the year end for many years, I ran the year end for one year and then tried to input the data. But no change to the situation. Would appreciate if any one can help.
AE Enhancement Request - Multiple Activity Slips panel button clarification
The AccountEdge Multiple Activity Slip pane has a couple of buttons on it that give me the willies every time I use it. I have had enough. This seeme to be the time of "The People Have Spoken" so this people has decided to speak. It is also the time of "Getting less than half the votes makes you a winner" so I don't have to care if anyone else agrees.
Frankly, I've had enough of being neglected and downtrodden. It's about time somebody did something about this appalling situation.
The "Multiple Activity Slips" panel (for all of you who live of cash takings, go tab Time Billing, then Enter Activity Slip, then Multiple Activity Slips") at the bottom there are two mislabled buttons:
"Record" which clearly will cause all new entries into this page to be saved into the database;
"Cancel" which obviously will recognise that you have been making timeslip entries while drunk again, discard all entries, and close the window.
This is not, in fact, what they do.
Record is actually the equivalent of the "Close Door" button on an elevator - it seems to do absolutely nothing. Entries are recorded automatically when you go to a new line.
Cancel, on the other hand, is more the equivalent of a "Close Window" button (rarely seen in elevators, I admit) because that is what it does. Admittedly, if you do have an entry that is incomplete, the Red Dot in the title bar will block exit, whereas Cancel will actually perform as advertised and cancel. My gripe with this button is that after I have entered an entry, Record does nothing, so Cancel is the obvious way to close the window. The red "close window" button in the title bar is probably the intended solution but (a) it is a very small target and (b) "Record" looks like it should do a Save and Close, whereas it does neither.
My enhancement request is that someone more qualified than I spend about 2 minutes on this and fix it so that I can get a more satisfying means of closing a completed time entry than using "Cancel".

Outlook problems with AccountEdge
AccountEdge Ver 15.5 Rel 20.1.9B (but since ver 14) and Outlook ver 15.28.1 (but since ver 12) and MacOS Sierra ver 10.12.1 (but since Yosemite) has the problem of sometimes sending MYOB initiated emails, sometimes not, and sometimes sending emails without having a resulting record in Sent Items, and sometimes the resulting Sent Item has a date of 1/01/01 8:00 am?
This makes it unusable. As a work around we have set the default email client to be Mac Mail, but now I have a problem with Mac Mail (since MacOS Sierra) in that it won't run at all. As we have at our workplace a preference for using Outlook, it would be best if this problem was fixed.
CONFIRMATION OF COMPANY CODE
USING ACCOUNT EDGE ON MAC. I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO CONFIFRM MY COMPANY FILE. Rang the automated service and when I entered the procided verification code the system keeps telling me it is incorrect. Tried this 5 times and still no success. Tried to call customer service but because Perth is 3 hours behind the east coast no answer. Still can't confirm the company file.
