I have come across an annual leave accrual problem with one of our employees. As I do a manual spreadsheet to always refer to, this has brought the problem to light.
We have one employee who occasionally does a night shift (during the week) and as stated in his EBA, we have to pay him the first 2hrs at time & half and the rest at double time.
The problem is, when he works a night shift, he does not do his 36 base hours which is the hours that accrual the annual leave. He only does 28.8 base hours.
How can I amend this problem, especially for the future, so our employee accruals the correct amount of annual leave per year?
