Getting Business Reference Number from MYOB

I'm using AccountEdge Basic, and wanting to set up a feed from my bank to MYOB, but the bank tells me I need a MYBO business reference number which I can get by logging into my MYOB software. I've looked through Account Edge but see nothing that seems related. Anybody done this and can help me?

Unable to perform online confirmation

Hi, I've been having a problem with confirming my company file.

My company file is company file ID 4..

The other Company files using the accountedge pro v12.5

My company file using the accountedge pro v13.5 (upgraded few months ago by my collegue)

Suddenly 2 weeks ago whenever I try to log in, it asks me to confirm online but always failed.

 

Now I've past due of the 14 days length to confirm, what can I do to solve this problem ?

Is it because of my version ? I've been using this version for more than 7 months and neve have this kind of problem.

I've tried calling MYOB australia but it seems they're not available until the end of the new year's holiday.

Hi there, 

We were recently using a PC and changed over to a MAC. When we started using the MYOB software we did a trial. Our trial period is now over and we would like to install and pay for the program without losing what we entered through the trial peroid. I can only use the read-only version at the moment. Could someone please tell us how to install the software with the correct serial number, as we havent received a serial number for the trial software and dont want to get the pc and the new trial software for the mac mixed up

End of year roll over

when I rolled over the financial year i saw that the year it rolled over to wasn't correct, it showed 2015 instead of 2016, so i rolled it over again thinking this would not affect anything on the system. All seems fine and I am happy with the results except the bank balance has changed! For some reason it is out by a fair amount. i was wondering if I can some how roll it all back (version 11 for Mac users) or whether I have to start a new company file. What a stupid mistake!! seriously i must have been having a super bad day where my brain was switched off or something. Anyway, is there anyway to roll it all back??

El Capitan update with emailing issues

Hi,

 

I have posted this on another thread which was "solved" so maybe it hasn't been seen. I apologise if it has and I've consequently duplicated the thread:

 

I am having issues with emailing since upgrading to El Cap.

 

I am on MYOB v13.5, 17.4.2A and bought the program outright, in full, so I don't pay a monthly subscription fee.

 

When I log in to my my.myob, it says I can't download the latest version as I don't have a "support service" and hence there is no patch for me either.

 

How can this be fixed for my situation and perhaps others in a similar situation to me?

Withholding from paying leave in advance

When I paid leave in advance, my AccountEdge Pro V.14 did not automatically withhold tax on this payment. What do I need to do?

I know this has likely been covered a milion times, but I'm not having any luck.

 

We purchased qty 112 of an item from the supplier, which were faulty and need to be returned. We have had no prior or subsequent purchasing history for this item. The total inventory value as shown on the Items List Summary is the exact same amount as the original purchase total, as one would expect with no other purchases to skew the average cost. However, when I try to raise a debit note to the supplier, I am given the error, "This purchase of item 85-98-152 would value your inventory at less than $0.00". 

 

How do I fix this? The go-to solution of an inventory adjustment for the difference between the average and the purchase price does not apply, as there is not variation between the two figures.

Cannot generate trial balance and general ledger

We are using AccountEdge Network.   I have moved the host computer to an already existing one previously used as a networked computer connected to the host.

 

When using the new host computer, I can generate all other reports except for trial balance and general ledger.  Everytime I attempt to generate these reports, the system would log me out with this message "AccountEdge Network Edition has lost its connection to the server.  Either the administrator has logged you out or your connection to your company file has been terminated due to a network error. Please log in again."

 

I am at a loss at what could have gone wrong or what else should I copy from the previous host computer aside from the xxx.myob file.

 

Appreciate your help before we will discard the previous host computer.

How to Override Salary option for one pay and pay hourly (prorata)

Hi MYOB Community,

 

I have a dilemma I hope someone can solve for me please.

 

I have a new salaried employee that has only been with us for a month.  He's been away 5 days in the last fornight.  

 

Is there a way to overraide the salary option and just pay hourly..... The only way I can see how to do this is change from Salary to Hourly employee for one pay and back again.   

 

Can someone advise me please, I feel like I'm going crazy trying to work this out.

File not an Account Edge company file

Hi there, I've just upgraded my MYOB Account Edge from 13.5 to the current 14.5.

Then finished entering all transactioons & shut down myob.

I went to open the company file again later, & I'm getting a message saying "The file you have chosen is not an Account Edge company file".

I know I was opening the correct file, as I've just spent time on the phone with a myob consultant & he helped me upgrade via Team Viewer & I wrote down where it was saved.

Back Up Service

I run Accountedge Network Edition for Mac I would like to see the ability of a scheduled back up  added. At present you have to manuallly  back up . We should be able to schedule so that it is automatically completed.

Unexpected MYOB Accountedge Crashes NE v20 ( OSX 10.11)

Whenever I try to export a document to excel, Accountedge will unexpectidly crash, giving a termination code 1100.

 

Additionally, whenever I try to print a file from accountedge to a networked printer, the application will also crash. Printing locally works without issue.

 

Has anyone else had these issues, or aware of a solution for them? Thanks Much!

 

 

Is there a report I can print that will list purchase item codes against a specific job?

DEFT payment to supplier returned by bank

I have recently made a payment to a supplier and monies were returned due to me making the deposit into the incorrect bank account (account was closed) - how do I record the return of money shown in my bank statement.

I'm changing from Accountright Premier on PC to Accountedge Pro on Mac and need to upload my data file to MYOB team for conversion.


Can ANYONE please tell me where I go to get this done? Am sick of being on hold. Already wasted hours so far and can't afford to waste any more time.

Error sending emails

Accountedge 14.5  We recently switched from Mac Mail to Postbox and now we can't email any documents.  That's okay as we understand that only Mac Mail and Outlook are offifically supported.  However, the error at the time of sending the email says that the pdf document will still be created and stored in the Document Folder but it is not.  I can find the created PDF documents in the $TMPDIR but not in the document directory.  Is there a setting that I am missing to get the documents from the temp folder to the document folder?
