Simple report listing items sold in a period?

Hello.....!  Is there anyone still out there who remembers AccountEdge?

I am looking for a report that will list items sold in a period, for example, per year.

I want one line per item, that lists the item ID, description, and quantity sold.

I can get items sold by customer, with a total at the bottom, but this huge and not terribly useful for analysis in Excel.

Any hints?

For real luxury, a report that  has a single line per product with sales per month and an annual total at the end of the line (or anywhere on the line, really) would also be useful.
